The GourmetFoodMall Panel Review's Brain Toniq

"Our reviewers all agreed: they each felt more focused that afternoon than they usually would after a product review session. Tasks were completed efficiently, and the fog of the massive product review "meal" gave way to an intense "get it done" mindset. No-one experienced the sugar rush that is associated with many energy and health drinks, as the agave nectar slowly metabolized in our systems. Overall, Brain Toniq provided each taste-tester with a beneficial surge of focused energy and attention."

Our most science-based review of Brain Toniq yet

The group at Highlight Health ("Discover the Science of Health") reviewed Brain Toniq this week. We've had many websites write about our revolutionary drink, but few have done as much research into the science behind our ingredients as Highlight Health. It's a great feather in our cap, and a good read, too. Here's the article.

Boulder's Daily Camera asks 5 Questions

"BOULDER, Colo. — Scott Ohlgren has been involved in the natural health field since 1976 when he, at 19 years old, turned to nutritional cleansing to help improve his health. Later in life, he wrote a couple of books on nutritional cleansing, but grew tired of the touring and speaking events. He wanted to funnel his entrepreneurial passion into a product. And in 2004, he did just that when he began work on a non-caffeinated, functional beverage with neurotrophic herbs to include mental focus — Brain Toniq. The Camera spoke briefly with Ohlgren about his Longmont company’s product."

Getting Things Done - a video talk at Google

The purpose of Brain Toniq is help people intelligently focus and concentrate so that they can get more from their life and work. We find author David Allen's Getting Things Done personal productivity methodology to be a great tool for doing exactly this and we're big fans of his. Google recently brought him to their campus to give a talk and the video is now available on YouTube. David speaks very, very fast, which can make it difficult to follow, but we found his thoughts on life and work to be inspiring and thought-provoking.

Design Award

  • Brain Toniq wins best-of-show in top design award
  • Each year, the Paperboard Packaging Council holds a prestigious competition that searches out the finest in packaging design around North America. This year, among the tens of thousands of paperboard packages introduced into the marketplace, a few hundred entries made first cut, including our unique 4-pack. Judges for the annual PPC competition include design magazines, top universities and packaging industry execs and they spent a week scrutinizing every one of them, awarding each a certain number of points. This past Thursday, April 3rd, they all convened in Washington DC at a black-tie affair, to announce the winners. We didn't go because we were sure we wouldn't even place in the first cut.

This year, entries came from Apple Computing (for their OSX Leopard box), Lexus (a USB minidrive package), Lord & Taylor, Britney Spears "Believe" cosmetic line, and hundreds of other well-known names. Any entry earning a total of 18 to 23 points is given an Excellence Award; fifty-one entrants qualified. Any entry earning 24 to 30 points earns a Gold Award; there were twenty-three in that category. The entry with the highest number of total points earns the President’s Award, the best-of-show. In this highest category, there was only one. And our little beverage company won it.

    We won the whole thing!

To see more about the entire contest, PPC sent us a PDF that can be viewed here.

Our simple package beat Apple Computing. And Britney!

    brain toniq 4-pak

The trade publication Packaging Online mentions the top award as well.

Thanks goes to designer Gene Malowany for the packaging design and paper construction of the Brain Toniq 4-pack. We would not have won this award without his eye for innovation and clean design.
